About three minutes, once. We never ask for your password, nothing else in your mailbox goes anywhere, and you can switch it off yourself at any time without telling us.
You'll need your private Glanceable address. It looks like in‑xxxxxxxxxx@glanceable.com and it's in the footer of every digest email we send you.
That address is yours alone. It's the only thing identifying forwarded mail as yours, so keep it private. If it ever leaks, tell us and we'll issue a new one.
Create one first: search a job title on LinkedIn, switch the Job alert toggle on, and set it to email. LinkedIn's own guide is here. Then come back.
Gmail › gear icon › See all settings › Forwarding and POP/IMAP › Add a forwarding address. Paste your in‑…@glanceable.com address.
Google sends its verification to your Glanceable address, which comes to us. Our system approves it automatically, usually within 20 minutes, and emails you when it's done. You don't need to click anything or wait on this page.
Important: leave the forwarding option itself set to “Disable forwarding”. You are not forwarding your mail — you're only registering the address so a filter can use it in the next step.
Settings › Filters and Blocked Addresses › Create a new filter.
jobs-listings@linkedin.com OR jobalerts-noreply@linkedin.com
Click Create filter, then tick “Forward it to” and choose your Glanceable address from the dropdown. Optionally also tick Mark as read and Skip the Inbox if you'd rather not see the raw alerts yourself. Click Create filter again.
We suggest not ticking Delete it: if anything ever goes wrong with forwarding, the alert is still in your mailbox instead of your bin.
From your next digest onward, jobs from your LinkedIn alerts are screened against your profile like everything else — same gate, same honest reasons, same gap analysis.
Only what the filter forwards, which is mail from LinkedIn's two alert addresses and nothing else. The filter never matches anything else in your mailbox, and we hold no password or login of yours.
Delete the filter in Gmail (Settings › Filters). Forwarding stops instantly, on your side, without telling us. Reply STOP to any digest if you want your data erased too.
Any mail provider that can forward by rule works the same way: create a
rule matching jobs-listings@linkedin.com and
jobalerts-noreply@linkedin.com, with the action
“forward to” your Glanceable address. Email
help@glanceable.com and we'll send
steps for your provider.
Because you shouldn't have to trust us with credentials. Forwarding is one-way, covers exactly one kind of email, and you can end it unilaterally. That's the right amount of access for a job-alert reader.
